Limerickcaringforcarers’s Weblog
The Limerick Branch of the Caring for Carers aims to promote the health, well-being and quality of life of family carers and those for whom they care. It provides recognition, respite care; information, training and advocacy to promote social inclusion.Carers are dedicated people at all levels of society who care in the home for older people, people with a disability and those with a long term illness. They are of any age and come all backgrounds. Ireland has over 300,000 carers ,it is not hard to work out how much this is saving our government a year (to have a relative in a private nursing home can cost over 800 euros a month). It is a 24 x 7 job daily which requires a major commitment. It is a tiring and stressful also, one always thinks of the future for the person one looks after, carers own health and well-being is a priority. The Limerick City Branch is one of 50 throughout Ireland,Newcastlewest has a Carers Support Group .A Carer can be a lonely existence so that is why it is important to be a member of a support group ,contact training can be provided ,promotes better support for carers also

Loudmouth Lad
Livin' in Ireland these days, there be a thing or two every day that does be gettin' on me nerves. My blog is a result of what me buds told me to do, get out there and rant to the world and see if anyone gives a damn. So, now and then I put my rants up on the internet and tells the world what I do be thinking. Who knows, maybe there's someone else out there thinking the same thing.
